Structural Members
Fabral manufacturers light gauge cold-formed steel sections, sometimes
referred to as secondary framing members, for use in secondary steel
framing applications. Various standard sections are available including
but not limited to Zees, Cees, Eave Strusts, Channels and Angles.
Steel sections provide economic secondary structural framing for
pre-engineered metal buildings, carports, canopies, walkway covers
and eyebrow canopies. They are also used as the primary structural
framing of single story mini-storage structures. Custom shapes are
available.
The sections are available in 16 Gauge (.060")*, 14 Gauge (.077")*
and 12 Gauge (.099")* thicknesses. These sections are available
with either a red-oxide prime or hot-dipped galvanized protective
coatings. Red oxide members are manufactured from ASTM-A570 Grade
55 steel (55,000 PSI minimum yield strength). The Red oxide coating
number is TT636. Galvanized members are manufactured from ASTM-A653
G-90 Galvanized Grade 55 steel (55,000 PSI minimum yield strength).
Fabral's manufacturing capabilities produce zee purlins to symmetrical
or asymmetrical designs. Eave struts can be produced for high and
low eaves and are available in single and double slope configuration.
Refer to the standard structural section guide for a listing of
standard member sizes and shapes.
Standard and non-standard web and flange punching patterns are
available. Standard punching patterns include simple span, short
lap, long lap and Pattern A web punch patterns. Custom punch patterns
are available upon request with some limitations.
