BIG NEWS FOR 2009 - The IRS homeowner energy credit has been extended for 2009. That means, homeowners that purchase a Fabral ENERGY STAR® certified metal roof from Jan. 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2009 will qualify for a tax credit of up to $500. Click here to learn more.
The ENERGY STAR program approves certain metal roofing colors based on the theory that roofs that reflect most of the solar energy will stay cooler and require less electricity for air conditioning. This, in turn, reduces the amount of electricty that must be produced, which reduces the amount of pollutants discharged into the air at the power plants.
ENERGY STAR approved colors –
