Fell Charter School
|During the six years the Fell Charter School had been open, they struggled heavily with funding. Classes were held in second-hand modular buildings and at the church hall next door. The school Board approved renovations on the school and school administrators were able to begin work on their new building. With a strict need to focus on value engineering, they decided metal panels were the most cost effective choice. They wanted to stay away from the stereotypes of working with metal by staying away from pre-engineered metal buildings and focusing on more creative designs. In order to create their design, they focused on using a variety of colors, rotating the panels, changing the orientation, and varying the height on different portions of the building. The school board and faculty were thrilled with the outcome. Since the students have moved into the new building less than one month ago, enrollment has increased by close to 25 percent.
